The Poire (Pear) lives up to its name. The chair has a charming design combined with the softness of a pear.

The Poire is different from other chairs in both its shape and seating comfort.
This is due to the following particularities:
– A sturdy metal frame that moves (slightly) with you and therefore offers suppleness (slightly rocking).
– Elastic straps that offer resilience and strength, and also ensure that the chair stays in shape for a long time.
– A chair shape that fits 1-to-1 ergonomically, so that you are immediately comfortable.
– An interior with unique padding and therefore sophisticated support; the entire back and seat gives maximum contact, creating security and peace of mind.
– A soft, comfortable cover with a special coating that is easy to clean. Fire-retardant, moisture-resistant and easy to replace.
– An optional headrest (BE05721) that can be adjusted in many ways, providing perfect additional support can be provided.
The friendly look and calm colours make the Poire more than just another chair.
We see many standard chairs in healthcare that are mostly practical, but lack a warm and beautiful mature look.
With the Poire (and its family), we offer a new segment of furniture. The Poire is not a medical device.
The Poire’s focus is on providing optimal comfort for individuals with hypersensibility:
– physical and mental deconditioning;
– sensory overstimulation;
– increased muscular tonus/muscle tension;
– chronic pain complaints;
– hypersensitivity of the skin;
– structural postural abnormalities and/or movement restrictions.
The Poire builds on insights and solutions from the Nuage® Wheelchair Sitting System. Result is a seating system for a super comfortable and relaxed sitting position.
The large-area, soft forming cushion is padded with pinfoam natural rubber strings and multifibre balls (comforel, a type of cotton wool).
The strings mould themselves to the body and provide optimal support and pressure distribution.
The strings take on their original shape after use and do not stick together.
The multifibre filling, together with the division into compartments, ensures that the strings remain strings remain in place and the padding is distributed very evenly, does not sag and does not bulge.

The seating system follows the body contours and ‘embraces’ the user. The chair is stimulus-free.
