The Flemish Human Rights Institute protects and promotes human rights in Flanders. We increase knowledge about human rights and urge governments and organisations to act in line with international human rights treaties. We offer first-line assistance to anyone faced with a human rights violation. In addition, people who report discrimination can count on mediation and possible adjudication by the Dispute Chamber.
The Flemish Men's Rights Institute is specifically designated as the independent institute that promotes, protects and monitors the implementation of the UN Convention on Disability. This means that we give special attention to persons with disabilities in the implementation of all our powers and are committed to inclusion.
