PIA, short for Partner in Assistance, operates a sharing-economy platform recognized by the Belgian government. This allows people to work as a support assistant (“deelhulp”) for a budget holder in a fiscally advantageous way, without needing a specific employment status. A support assistant can help a budget holder with various tasks, both at home and when going out.
Thanks to PIA’s digital platform, budget holders and support assistants can fully manage their collaboration themselves. The platform facilitates this cooperation and takes care of the practical and financial administration. It also provides the necessary documents for the VAPH.
