Every year, the association organizes a youth camp for children aged 6 to 11 with spina bifida.
The camp is coordinated by the association’s sole permanent staff member, supported by numerous volunteers. This annual camp has been organized for over 20 years.
The objectives of the camp are:
- To promote the physical and mental independence of the children.
- To help children with spina bifida develop a more accurate self-image through educational activities, teach them concepts of hygiene, and encourage attention to their own bodies.
- To develop social skills by learning to do activities together, make friends, and discover new forms of recreation.
- To stimulate physical skills in both gross and fine motor areas.
